January Rotation…

Here is what I have been reading and listening to during the month of January, with more fuller thoughts at the end of the month (if I complete them):

  • unchristian by Kinnaman & Lyons (using this as a discussion starter for a youth sunday school class; good thoughts, but I don’t into the research as much)

Music: These are the albums that have been in heavy rotation in the new year

  1. i’ve heard a lot about the fleet foxes lately, but know nothing about them. what kind of music would you describe them as?

  2. From wikipedia: The quintet describe their music as “baroque harmonic pop jams”.

Personally, I would describe it a full-folk sound emphasizing harmonies. Someone said “who knew Crosby, Stills, & Nash could be so good.” (don’t remember where I saw that.

Give White Winter Hymnal or Ragged Wood a try.
